The study of mathematics is a process that develops important modes of critical thinking. Because quantitative problem solving is a desirable skill, a minor in mathematics can be a beneficial addition to your program at Pacific, regardless of your major.
Statistics minors may also benefit you if you plan on further graduate education in related areas.
Minors in statistics or mathematics are designed to offer a measure of breadth and depth in your mathematical experience. Only courses passed with a C or better grade are used to meet the stats minor requirements. You must complete a minimum of 12 of the minor units at Pacific.
If you plan to minor in statistics, contact the chair of the Mathematics Department to be assigned a minor adviser.
Please see the General Catalog for coursework.
